The Merrill Christmas Party

On Christmas Eve we had our usual party with my family. We tried to take a picture with all the kids. Some of them wouldn't sit still so the parents had to join in the picture.

As you can tell we all got spoiled. Thanks Mom and Dad. We all love you!

Christmas Eve Eve Eve

We went to the Bernts On Christmas Eve Eve Eve and it was one happening place! We had an awesome dinner, the cutest nativity, and guess who showed up?
SANTA CLAUSE!!!!!
Before Santa came we did a little nativity set up by Annie the Angel. And of course we couldn't go without playing the Guitar Hero. That is on my Christmas list for next year. This is a little video of the Nativity. Caution to all who watches. This family can't sing worth a darn.

Party at the Armstrong's

We finally got a picture with all the Aplington grandkids. There is 10 total. Adam, Ashley, Allie, Libby, Parker, Maggie, Tandi, Sydney, Easton, and Seth. Every year they do a nativity and sing songs. Parker was a Wiseman and Tandi an Angel.

The Stockings Are Hung

This is what I have been doing the last couple of days. My house was a disaster. This picture is just a small part of it.I'm not sure why I decided to make our own stockings especially this close to Christmas. I think they turned out cute. Especially for me. I'm not much of sewer.
I'm just grateful for my sweet kids, who put up with me ignoring them. Hence the messy house.

Christmas Tree!

Heath decided that this year we should get a real tree. So him and Parker went in the mountains and picked out this tree. Heath said it looked a lot smaller on the mountain. When he first brought it in it was too tall so he had to cut a few feet off the bottom. We spent the evening decorating the tree. I have to say I love the smell of it. It's a lot better than a fake tree.

Tandi kept taking the ornaments off and then putting them all on the same branch. Parker liked climbing up the ladder and sticking the ornaments on. Heath helped him put the snow flake on top.

The top is touching the celling.

Christmas Parade!

Last night we went to the Parade. What a fun time we had. Parker loved seeing Santa and Tandi loved the pretty lights. I watched her and Parker watch the parade. We had hot chocolate and the kids each got a Christmas cookie. You can tell Tandi's was green by looking at her face.

Happy Thanksgiving!

What a nice day it was! We went and had our Thanksgiving feast at my Grandma Merrill's and then that night we had dessert at Heath's sisters house. I love this time of year. I am so grateful for all my blessings. I'm thankful for Heath and my two sweet children. There is nothing I would want more than my family.

Happy Halloween!

I love this Holiday! Parker was a race care driver and Tandi was a Care Bear. I think they were pretty cute. We spent some of the day going and visiting family and then we ended up at our house for a little party. We had some food then took the kids Trick or Treating. Then came back and watched the Hulk movie. What a good way to end the Halloween night.
Tandi was asleep in the truck during this picture.
All the Trick or Treaters from left to right. Lilly (butterfly), Boden (power ranger), Marley( Hannah Montana), Parker (race car driver), Tandi (Care Bear), Piper (Cinderella), and Mckenna (witch).
I loved that heart on her cute little behind.
Heath had to dress up for work and of course he didn't want to be the pregnant lady again, so he ended up being a used car salesman. ( I think he looks pretty hot in those pants!)

The girls rod in the wagon while we Trick or Treated. They were in a daze most of the time as you can tell.
I love my little care bear!

Carving Pumpkins

On Monday for family home evening we carved Pumpkins. We had our friends the Salisbury's over to help. It's a good thing they came because we were not preparedwith the right tools for carving. The kids weren't really into carving. It was more fun for the adults.
