Update on my kids

Parker Is now 3 1/2 and is sure growing up he loves to play cars and trains. And he is becoming more of a cuddlier. I love it when he sits by me on the couch and hugs me tight. He is still a daddy's boy which I think is so cute! He wants be just like him. When Heath comes home we sometimes don't get a chance to talk because Parker is dragging him all over making him play cars or ride his bike. He is very smart. He knows how to write his name and knows what letter most of his family members names start with. He loves to get up and speak in front of people. He bore his testimony awhile ago and was not afraid one bit. I am very proud of him.The other day Heath and I were cleaning our basement and Parker said that he was cold and that he was going to go get in our bed. Well about a half an hour later we came upstairs and he was sound asleep. There is just something so tender when you look at your kids sleeping. He is such a sweet little boy!

This is Tandi first thing in the morning. Happy and bubbly!
Tandi pretending she is on the phone.
I have noticed such a big change this last month in Tandi. It seems like she is now a little girl. Her personality is getting cuter and cuter. I love to watch her pick out a pair of shoes in my closet and try to put them on. A typical girl. I love to watch her laugh at her brother or get mad at him when he tries to take something away from her. She stands her ground. I can't wait until she can talk really well, because I want to know what's on her mind. She does say a few words like cracker, mommy, daddy, pampa, gama, bye bye, and Mi Mi for binki. I love to watch her grow and change. She is my little girl!

Our Family Getaway

I can't think of anything more relaxing than being in the mountains with my family. We had a great time this weekend camping. It was a bit chilly, and a little rainy, but it was worth it. We did a lot of sitting around, 4 wheeling, and eating. Our kids got really dirty and by the end we were ready to throw them in a tub. And I was ready for a nice shower also. As you can see from the pictures the scenery was quite pretty. We went on a ride to the top of a mountain. I wish I brought my camera to take a picture of the view. It was amazing!

The kids loved being pulled behind the 4 wheelers.

Bubbles

I am so excited! I figured out how to post a video. It really isn't that hard. I thought this one was kind of cute with the kids playing in the tub. You get a tid bit of their cute personalities. Don't look too closely at our tile it's ghetto. I broke the soap dish holder when I was standing on it. I was trying to paint the walls. Oops! I'm lucky I didn't break my ankle or something. Re -doing our bathroom is one of our next house projects.

Happy Mothers Day!

I Had a wonderful mothers day! We had a great time with my family. They came over for a BBQ. Then it turned into hanging up our new light. Which all of this remodeling was my mothers day gift. Thank you Heath! I am so blessed to be a mother. I am so grateful for my two sweet children Parker and Tandi. They bring so much joy and happiness into my life. Each day I am touched in some way by my children. I am also grateful for all the mothers in my life. And for my own mother who is a very special person.
Here are all the moms of the house. Thank you Heath for making this day so special. You are a wonderful husband..... and so much more! You even cleaned the kitchen.

How many guys does it take to hang up a light?

Here is Heath, Zach, Cory, Nate, and my dad all trying to hang up this light. It took a long time to get it up.

Heath is standing on the oldest ladder known to man. And it isn't completely folded down all the way. Nate was on Zach's shoulders holding the light. And my dad was just telling them what to do. Zach would get tired of holding Nate and then they would have to trade places. I was just waiting for an accident to happen.

Here is Zach trying to be tough. I just had to laugh at this picture.

Remodeling

So this past week has been a crazy week. I am never going to rip up carpet again. And it's a lot easier to replace carpet before you move in. Hence having to move all your furniture around. But I am really pleased with the carpet and new lights. Thanks to help from our fam at L & K. I am so exhausted but glad it's all done.Parker helping us load up the truck with carpet.Me ripping up the stairs which were glued down. What a pain in the rear.
Yucky stairs. You can see some of the carpet that was glued down. Here is our new carpet. I love it!Parker chillen on the stairs.Tandi playing on the ground. Here is one of the new lights we put up.

Cute Story

I just love what kids say sometimes. And I had to tell this story about Parker. The other day he was playing with his train set and one of the trains hurt his finger. He came and showed me and said that he wanted me to take him to the Dr. I just told him it will be Ok. Well about 10 minutes later he came up to me and said, "mommy my finger is all better because Jesus touched it." I just melted inside. What a sweet little boy! I sometimes forget how much a little three year old is really aware of.

The little things

Well I have been putting off allowing Tandi to eat with a spoon. I just hate the mess and I just didn't want to attempt it. But Heath was in charge of feeding her and she was in her high chair for a long time without whining or screaming. When I finally noticed what was happening she was feeding herself with a spoon and doing a pretty good job. I realized then that I need to let her feed herself more often. And of course it's ok if she makes a mess once in awhile. A few days ago I was jogging through our neighborhood and past some neighborhood friends who were having a yard sale. I stopped by to see what they had and spotted this old lawn mower. I new that Parker would love it. So I brought Parker back with me and few bucks in his pant pockets. He was so excited to buy it and he pushed all the way home. He even played with it almost the whole day. It's so funny how some old toy could make a little boys day. Now he can help daddy mow the lawn!

Lil Gangsta!

Parker is so funny. The last couple of days he has been wearing this hat. I don't know why but he just loves it. I think he looks pretty cute in it though. I just love this kid!

There she goes!

We are so excited! Tandi just started walking on her own about three days ago. And now she is everywhere. I need to record her and put that on so you can see how cute she is when she walks. She loves it!

Happy Birthday Leslie!

Today is my older sisters birthday. Her sweet husband Cory set up appointments for us to get pedicures. What a great guy! We had a fun time getting pampered. And as for my sister Leslie I am so glad that she is my sis. It seems like the older we get the closer we are. I hope we will always remain this close. I love you lots sis! Thanks for always being there for me.

Leslie's pretty feet.
